Comber Agricultural Society

Dear Friends:

County fairs are ingrained in the fibers of this country, and the 149th annual Comber Fair is continuing a tradition of excellence.  Where else could you go to get the great entertainment and competition of a county fair while instilling the community with family values.     The residents of Comber can have confidence in the fact that the goals of the Board of Directors have changed very little over the last 150 years in regard to providing a place where childhood memories can be remembered and new memories with your family and friends can be realized. Make sure YOU take time to visit every part of the fair.  View the quilts and jams, walk through the animal barns, take a peek at the youth exhibits, enjoy a carnival ride or two and don’t forget to relax at our beer tent.  Make sure to stroll the commercial exhibits and wander to the food court where you will find the best variety of food found on any fairgrounds.

As president I am proud for the fact that the Comber Fair is produced annually by a small group of dedicated volunteers.  These volunteers operate the fairgrounds year round with various rentals of the buildings and grounds.  It is through these rentals that we are able to make improvements to the grounds and increase our fair budget to meet the many needs of fairgoers.

A special thank you to the men and women who head the committees, along with their volunteers,  whose efforts keep the fair going year after year.  Come join us for the 150th annual Comber Fair,  Aug. 7,8, and 9th.

 Sincerely

Tim Rowsom
President
